Pollon – is an interdisciplinary piece that explores resilience, memory and loss. It invites the audience to fall into a vortex of genealogy, grief and encounter the footsteps of experiences that we can’t seem to let go of.
Who becomes the custodian of our memories?
Formulated from music, anecdotes and interviews with people who have experienced dementia and/or Alzheimer’s, Pollon is a work that uses pre-recorded audio; including dialogue, songs, instructions to connect participants to the memories we may have left behind. Pollon sonically explores the moments that people leave with us, and re-lives them again and again and again...
Eliza invites the audience to share these fragments with them, to live these moments as if they were their own, to add to their tapestry, only if in order to forget them again.
